Description
Jasmine flowers are flavor neutral and can be used to provide a lovely dimension of flowers and white coloration to a tea blend without affecting the taste profiles of the tea.
Jasmine flowers are also used to make Jasmine tea, delicately scenting the fresh green tea with their aromatic character. The flowers are used up to 9 times (depending on their flavor and the time of year they are plucked). During this time the aroma is used to scent the tea. The process consists of a layer of fresh flowers, tea, flowers, tea, etc. Between each layer there is a fine mesh which keeps the flowers separated from the tea. The flowers are used repeatedly until the flavor is virtually exhausted. At this point, they can be used as a blending component.
