Tea Tuesday: Ayurvedic Total Body

Ayurveda…now that is a mouthful.

While this tea has a hard name, it is easy to understand its popularity.

What is Ayurvedic?

The basic principles of Ayurveda can be found in its name, which in Sanskrit means “longevity” (āyus) and science (veda). Overall, balance within the body is emphasized through moderation of such things as sleep, medicine, and food. Food is an important feature in Ayurvedic practice. All herbs and plants are purported to have various uses and characters.

Illness is believed to be caused when the body loses balance. Balance is the center of this holistic practice as when one area of your physical and psychological well-being is off, everything else is.

The Tea Itself

Ayurvedic wellness teas are specially formulated blends that combine organic herbs, plants, fruits and spices. Depending on the mix of botanticals, drinking an Ayurvedic blend can help enhance energy, promote emotional well-being, aid digestion, cleanse the body, calm nerves, or provide other types of health benefits.

Standing the test of time, these health-based teas are free of caffeine and can be consumed any time of the day, including during or between mealtime.

We’re pleased to offer this stunning blend of herbs and flowers blended to provide a sense of overall comfort and well being to the entire body. So…what’s in it and why?

  • Peppermint and Spearmint for their relaxing qualities
  • Ginger for a spicy layer of vitality
  • Osmanthus and Hibiscus for a calming aroma
  • Rooibos for its vitamin rich goodness
  • Apple and almond for a dash of vitamins
  • Rosehip for a floral boost

If that doesn’t sound like something that’s good for mind, body and spirit, we don’t know what is.
