Caffeine Benefits in Tea

Posted on:

We know that when you hear about places to caffeinate, you think about coffee shops. Now is the time to think about The Tea Shoppe. Let us explain….

All true teas (white, green, oolong, pu-erh, and black teas) contain varying amounts of caffeine. Depending on the type of tea, the tea leaves can contain anywhere from 13 milligrams of caffeine to 75+ milligrams of caffeine; with white teas containing the lowest amount of caffeine, and matcha teas containing the highest amount. While the caffeine content in tea is not as high as that in coffee, it is a great alternative for when you need an extra energy boost, without the jittery feeling.

Tea also contains many natural antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, that will help boost your immune system and keep you energized. The right amount of caffeine has incredible health benefits such as helping to increase your metabolism, cognitive function, focus and reaction time, and has been shown to help reduce the risk of Parkinson’s. Enjoy a refreshing cup of freshly brewed caffeinated tea today, and feel better than ever!
